THE POWER OF WORDS
“Words are the most powerful force available to humanity, to express themselves.Choose them wisely"
As words, as the most ‘powerful force’ to express yourself as a human being, choose them wisely, before you utter them.
When we engage in any speech / talk we must discipline ourselves and choose our words wisely.
Before you speak, think.
Anytime you speak , take sometime to think before you contemplate what you will say and the purpose and meaning before your words . Moreover, do not tell people things they do not need to know .
THE GOLDEN RULE
If you have nothing good or kind to say, say nothing.
Do as you would be done : treat others with justice , kindness and respect .
PRIORITIES MATTER
Things in life assume the importance we give them. If you talk about misery & unhappiness,, you will have more of it in your life.
When you speak, give words of what you want- if you talk from a loving part of things ,you will get of more loving things in your life.
To get to this level - try and think of the things you talk about before the words come out of your mouth-by taking breaths before speaking.
When you do something good, say nothing about it to others.
Moreover, talking too much draws our energy and gives our words less weight when we utter them. Speak less, but with more meaningful words.
DON'T BE CRITICAL
When you criticise people , you devalue yourself as a person. Learn never to criticise people regardless of what you might think.
LEARN TO LISTEN
"We have 2 ears and 1 mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak "
A talkative person is like an empty vessel. Listening while keeping perfectly still, like a statute, full of grace & solemnity enhances a form of power in the listener.
By listening more, you economise your energy.
Next time you open your mouth to complain or put yourself or others down, ask yourself:
Ask yourself these two important questions before you utter words.
So choose your words bravely, consciously and lovingly.
Always speak from a place of love; for yourself, for your life and for others. Your words equal your world, so use them wisely.
